Janet Lee received her doctorate in acupuncture and Chinese medicine (DACM) from Pacific College in San Diego. She is a licensed acupuncturist (L.Ac.) in Kansas and Missouri and a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (Dipl. OM). In 2013, she completed a training program at Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China, with rotations in oncology, neurology, cardiology and andrology.

Janet is a Fellow of the Acupuncture and TCM Board of Reproductive Medicine (FABORM), one of only two practitioners in the state of Kansas who has earned this distinction and the only one in Kansas City to have it. It means she has completed extensive specialized training in women’s health and fertility and passed a rigorous exam. Janet also has an Advanced Level Diploma in Fertility Acupuncture and is Fertility Support Trained, one of just a few people in the U.S. to have this certification. She continues to pursue advanced training in women’s health, reproductive medicine and pregnancy health so she can be of the most service to her clients.

Janet enjoys exercise and brings an extensive background in health and fitness to her practice. She was a Certified Exercise Physiologist for 20 years (American College of Sports Medicine). She is currently a 200-hour certified yoga teacher (Yoga Medicine) and a Corrective Exercise Specialist (National Academy of Sports Medicine). She has dedicated hundreds of additional hours to the study of sports medicine and corrective exercise and enjoys working with fitness enthusiasts and athletes to help them improve performance and head off injuries.

She is the co-author of The Supplement Handbook (Rodale, November 2014) with Mark Moyad, MD, the world’s foremost supplement expert. The book is a research-based guide to using supplements responsibly to help treat more than 100 health conditions [view book]. She writes frequently about health, nutrition and fitness for national magazines and websites.
